Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Card Legislation
Medical marijuana legalization began in Oklahoma when voters approved Oklahoma State Question 788, known as the Medical Marijuana Legalization Initiative. The Oklahoma State Department of Health oversees the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) which administers the rules and regulations regarding the state’s medical marijuana program. OMMA maintains a registry of patients, caregivers, and physicians and issues licenses for cultivators, processors, testing labs, transports, and medical marijuana dispensaries.
